Would like to say thanks to the owners and staff at Mount Kenya Conservancy. MKC had the vision 30 years ago to relocate a core group of Bongo Antelope to America and Europe. This early acknowledgment of the future problems with habitat and human encroachment could be the saving factor for the Bongo! MKC also offered a safe haven to another group in Africa!

Mount Kenya Conservancy now has received from America Bongo Antelope that are offspring of the same animals that they captured and sent to a safe haven 30 years ago. Therefore a 30 year commitment has made a full circle. The Bongo left African soil and returned thanks MKC.

However the vision is not yet complete. The vision of returning the Bongo as a free wild antelope to Mount Kenya. We still work with Kenya Wildlife Services on a release site, funding, poacher patrol and other Government issues.

Thank again to the owners and staff at Mount Kenya Conservancy for what now appears to be a "life long" commitment of time, money and land to saving the Bongo Antelope from extinction!
